HPA Awards issue a call for entries, add two new TV categories

The HPA (Hollywood Professional Association) has opened the call for entries in creative categories for the 13th annual HPA Awards. These awards recognize artistic excellence in color grading, editing, sound and visual effects in feature film, television and commercials.

The 13th annual awards presentation will be held at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles on November 15. Continue reading

London’s LipSync upgrades studio, adds Dolby Atmos

LipSync Post, located in London’s Soho, has upgraded its studio with Dolby Atmos capabilities to LipSync. They also installed a new control system. To accomplish this, LipSync teamed up with HHB Communications’ Scrub division to create a hybrid, dual Avid S6 and AMS Neve DFC-3D desk while also upgrading the room to create Dolby Atmos mixes with a new HE-RMU.
